Dave and I, like countless others, spent the summer enjoying Widow’s Bay, a creepy, dark comedy set in a small Martha’s Vineyard-esque town.
A bit of googling led us to the film locations, some of which were along our route. Depending on how obsessed you are with the series, you could easily spend the day checking off the site list. But that kind of treasure hunt wasn’t on the agenda. We stopped for pastries in Gloucester (on the location list), then headed to Rockport (also on the list) to visit Halibut Point State Park.
Stands of Aspen. Nirvana—especially for desert dwellers. However, the moment is fleeting—so make sure you plan well. Usually, Dave and I would have had our fill of fall in Alberta. Alas, —2020, has changed so many things. Thankfully, the beauty of fall is attainable only two hours from home.
As we all know, the New Year is a time for reflection—a time for pulling out that list (from last year) full of want-to-dos and need-to-dos. In our household, celebratory lethargy has set in, thanks to bowl games accompanied by lots of food and drink.
